About Us & Parent Information ~

“WHAT IS THE CLUB ALL ABOUT THEN?”

Your children will be taught martial arts, discipline, flexibility and confidence, whilst playing Ninjutsu games. They will learn a wealth of knowledge and skills to be able to protect themselves, while studying the modern and traditional martial arts that the Dojo Head Master has studied over many years.

The whole concept of the Little Ninjas’ dojo is to give children around the ages of 6 to 14, a place to grow physically and mentally.

The principles of the Dojo are ones of enjoyment and fun, in hand with discipline.

Should your child decide they want to become part of the little ninjas’ dojo, they will be trained and put through grading tests to achieve coloured belts, all the way through to the Junior Black Belt. The Little Ninjas’ Dojo is run professionally with all insurances and requirements met.

Any information you need, on the Teacher’s qualifications or in general, are always happily available on request.

“WHO’S THE GUY TEACHING THIS THEN?”

My name is Jason Smith and I have studied the martial arts for over 25 years.

I have trained in Japan and all around England, studying various martial arts and I have opened this Dojo to teach children everything I have learnt and that which I will learn in the future. I have taught martial arts to the community for many years before

Little Ninjas’ Dojo and have been involved in the running and establishment of some of the clubs in the area. These are some of my qualifications:

Black belt Aikido

Black belt Aiki Jujutsu

Bujinkan Ninjutsu training

Authentic Samurai School training

Sensei of Budo Qualification

AMA Sports Coach Certificate

City and Guilds Teaching Practice Qualification

Safe Guarding Children and Young People Qualification

Trauma Care Management

Conflict Management

…and importantly, major experience in

real street fights/confrontation

“SO, HOW MUCH IS THIS GOING TO COST?”

The first lesson is FREE! The price for each lesson is £2.50. Costs are kept low, wherever possible. Once your child has attended a few of the classes they may want to start wearing the black suit and attaining coloured belts, then they will need to join officially. The Beginners’ membership package can then be purchased through Little Ninjas’ Dojo. The Beginners’ Package is £30 and this pays for:

Black training suit, badge and white belt,

Licence book,

Insurance,

Membership,

The Beginners’ manual.

All other equipment can be purchased through the Dojo from www.blitz.com at very competitive prices.

On starting as a Little Ninja, I will require you as the parent or guardian to fill out the Joining Forms. This information is essential. You will then receive the above equipment, so please ensure your child’s licence book is completed fully. Once a year, insurance and membership will need to be renewed; this costs £10, 12 calendar months after the date of the last payment.

*There is no obligation or pressure for children to join as a Little Ninja, as this Dojo is not run for commercial purposes, but students will not be graded or wear the black suit until they do.

Once your child is a member, every 4 months or more your child will have the opportunity to ‘test’ for their next coloured belt level in the little ninjas’ dojo.

This will cost £10 and includes a certificate, new belt and your child’s licence officially stamped. This is not compulsory and payment is only necessary on a successful pass. During this time, there will be a midway knowledge test and these cost £0!  In addition, your child is awarded a new belt.

“IS THERE ANYTHING LITTLE NINJAS’ DOJO ASKS OF US?”

Lessons are run throughout the year, although some classes may become cancelled due to my own work commitments with the Fire Brigade.

If this happens, the Dojo will make every effort to contact all members. If you are ever unsure, you can call me on 07766883896 to ask if the Dojo is open.

I would ask that children train in dark loose fitting clothing, if available, until they have their training gi. Hair is tied back neatly and the health of others is considered.

If your child has anything that may pass to another child, please wait until they are well enough again to train with the other children.

The only other thing I ask for is that children are punctual where possible, payments are made before coming onto the training area and that children are picked up promptly once the class is over.

Thank you very much.

I hope that you and your children enjoy our lessons
